Gerry is a four-decade corporate/securities attorney and entrepreneur, nationally recognized for his work with investment funds and their platforms, in the Opportunity Zone incentive ecosystem and in the field
of cryptocurrency and blockchain. In addition to his legal counsel and businesses in these areas he regularly speaks and writes on these matters to national and international audiences.
In addition to his current entrepreneurial efforts Coasis Coalition Companies PB LLC, founded to develop his own businesses and serve others in the Opportunity Zone and investment fund ecosystems, he is of counsel at Ferguson Braswell Fraser Kubasta PC (FBFK), providing securities, corporate and transactional legal services, is a full-service business law firm, with practice areas in addition to those of Gerry and his other transactional colleagues, that include the areas of commercial real estate, tax and tax
controversies, insolvency and bankruptcy, patents and intellectual property and commercial litigation.
Gerry has had his own law firm since the 1990s and through the years has been a founder of numerous businesses and non-profits including, among others, Behringer Harvard Funds, a real estate investment
fund platform grown to more than $12 billion in AUM globally, xybridge technologies, the leading telecom softswitch tech company of its day (now a component company DZS Inc. (Nasdaq: DZSI) which earlier this year moved from Oakland to Plano’s Legacy Place East) and Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep, a non-profit high school serving families in low-income communities with a rigorous college prep curriculum and a corporate work-study program.
